Hair transplant surgeries are based on team work. This team includes the patient undergoing the surgery, the Doctor and the assistants. Existence of effective communication between all three parties is essential for a successful surgery. The free flow of communication ensures an error free surgery.
At DHT Centre, the team of the doctors and assistants work together to perform a quality surgery. Before beginning the surgery, we plan the surgery and sets out the responsibility of each person during the surgery. The responsibilities are divided among the people based upon their area of expertise.
The systematic way of filling the recipient sites is known as placing pattern. At DHT Centre we follow the ideal way of placing the extracted grafts to achieve the natural density. We place single hair grafts, to create the receded the hairline. This hairline is created by placing these single hair grafts in the first two rows. This is important because these rows will be the most exposed ones from the front and will contribute significantly to the natural appearance of the transplanted hair.
Then we place 2-hair grafts in few rows behind the single hair grafts and then 3-4 hair grafts in other remaining rows. This pattern helps us create a distinctive hairline with a good density of hair behind it. We stay focused to small areas while placing in order to ensure that no site is left from being filling. In these small areas we plant the grafts in a row wise manner so that the rows which require similar number of grafts are planted together and then we move on to other set of rows. We keep all the extracted grafts lined up and then load them in a place which is very close to the patient. This helps us in accelerating the procedure by saving those extra seconds on each graft.
We prioritize the scalp regions for transplantation according to the graft viability and optimal hair density. Grafts which contains only 1-2 hair are more fragile than the grafts which contain 3-4 hair, thus we plant the fragile grafts first. This also helps us in creating the hairline first. We take central forelock as the second priority because the visual hair density depends upon this region. Then we move up to midline of the mid scalp or the upper arc of the vertex. We place grafts with the highest hair density in these regions to attain maximum density.
In this manner we provide our hair transplant clients with a natural look and maximum possible density.
